2020 Year in Review of XYZ Storage

2020 was unexpected to say the least. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the frontline and healthcare workers for their continuous bravery throughout this global pandemic. At XYZ Storage, we have tried our best to find ways to help the communities we operate in with the hopes to make a difference. We are pleased to share with you our recap of 2020:

Socially Distanced Collection Drives to Conquer COVID-19

Earlier this year, we were honoured to join the organization Conquer COVID-19 in their fight to protect Canada’s healthcare workers. We hosted weekly socially distanced collection drives every Saturday at our XYZ Storage Self-Storage facility on 459 Eastern Avenue in Downtown Toronto. The goal of these weekly collection drives was to serve as a place for people to come down and donate any PPE (personal protective equipment) that they may have laying around.

  • Masks/respirators
  • Face shields
  • Ventilators
  • 2-way baby monitors with audio function
  • Tablets
  • Fabric/mask making material
  • Diapers, formula, and other needs for women’s shelters, equipment
  • PPE for frontline workers in shelters, hospices, and nursing homes

Everything we have received; we have made sure it was donated to those that need it the most. We could not have been more grateful to those who have donated and came together to fight against and #ConquerCovid19. The fight is not over yet, however, if we do it together while apart, we are stronger than ever. If you are interested you can check out our Thank You video here.

Thorncliffe Park Food Drive

We are always honoured and happy to support the local community during these difficult times. All of us at XYZ Storage decided to donate 7,000 boxes to Thorncliffe Park Food Drive as well as providing transportation by giving them discounted rental rates! You can also check out their feature on CBC news here.

Movember

Members of XYZ Storage decided to grow their mustaches for #Movember to bring awareness to men’s health. We certainly cannot forget about our Mo Sista’s that grew out their honorary moustaches and helped collectively raise $4,823! We would like to thank everyone who donated and helped bring awareness to men’s health. All of us at XYZ Storage, look forward to participating again in 2021!

Renovated Our Self-Storage Facilities

As most of you already know, we transitioned from All Canadian Self-storage to XYZ Storage in June 2019. We have been working hard on the continuation of our rebrand and spent many months changing and ultimately improving the looks of our self-storage facilities. We put up new XYZ Storage signage at our Weston facility and have a brand-new look at our Laird facility. Check out our new look at our Laird facility:

Have yet to stop by our self-storage facilities? Please feel free to stop by and say hello! Our self-storage experts would be more than happy to help you out.

International Facility of the Year

We are closing 2020 on a high note with winning International Facility of the Year! Our newly built self-storage facility on Eastern Avenue has won International Facility of the Year. What a journey it has been for all of us at XYZ Storage including our wonderful partners, employees, community members, as well as our customer’s endless support! We could not be prouder of the exceptional dedication it has taken, and we are eternally grateful for everyone involved in the process. We Thank You

Thank you everyone for all of the support we have received this year even during these unprecedented times. At XYZ Storage, we will continue to do everything we can to protect the safety of our customers, employees, guests, and community members that visit our self-storage facilities. We also intend to continue finding ways to participate and support the communities we operate in as much as we can amidst this global pandemic. From all of us at XYZ Storage, we wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy new year!
